Selten bei uns zu finden, wird aber importiert. Man erkennt sie sicher durch den grossen, umrandeten Fleck hinter dem Auge.
Wie alle Halicheres-Arten wird auch er schnell Ersatzfutter aufnehmen.
Er vergräbt sich, wie seine Lippfisch-Kollegen in der Nacht im Sand.
Daher sollte man ihm unbedingt davon genug bieten.
