Die Aufnahme gelang Martin Hablützel bei einem Tauchgang - Aufnahmeort Teneriffa, Kanarische Inseln.

Der Madeira-Drachenkopf kann durch seine rotlich gefärbten Bartfäden einfach identifiziert werden, anderen Tieren der Art fehlen sie nämlich.
Sonst wie andere Scorpaena-Arten zu sehen.

Wird schon durch das Verbreitungsgebiet keine große Rolle im Aquarienhandel spielen.
Wir sind uns aber sicher, dass diese Art trotzdem in so manchem Mittelmeerbecken zu finden sein wird.
