Info

Conus nucleus Reeve, 1848

Like all species within the genus Conus, the Nut cone is predatory and venomous.

Shell colour is orange to olive-brown with lighter central band and pale violett aperture. The living animal is yellow to orange in colour.

Similar to Conus luetus, but there are differences in shell morphology as well as coloration of the animals argue strongly for separation.
