The Smooth-eyed ghost crab lives on fine sandy beaches.This crab feeds on carrion, small crustaceans and bugs.

Ocypode cordimanus is widely distributed in the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean, but this crab
is listed as 'Vulnerable' in the Red List of threatened animals of Singapore.
