Cliona viridis (Schmidt, 1862)

Cliona viridis ranges from shallow water to about a few hundred meters.It lives in well-lighted zones as well as in caves.Cliona viridis may be white, yellowish or brownish-green in colour. This sponge has been recorded in the Mediterranean Sea,the North-Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans.Cliona viridis is a sponge on calcareous substrates (Stone or shell).
