Info

Hypselodoris decorata (Risbec, 1928)

Hypselodoris decorata was long considered a variant of Hypselodoris maculosa. This misconception was cleared up by Epstein et al (2018), who confirmed via anatomy and molecular studies that the species are separate.

Hypselodoris decorata has a more white-spotted red margin and three orange bands on the rhinophores.

Very similar to Hypselodoris maculosa, often confused with this species.
