Zoramia viridiventeris commonly referred to as Fragile Cardinalfish. Difficulty in the aquarium: There are no reports available yet that this animal has already been kept in captivity successfully. Toxicity: Toxic hazard unknown.
Very special thanks for the first photo of Zoramia viridiventer to the famous Australien ichthyologist Dr. Gerry R. Allen.
Dr. Allen has taken his photo at El Nido, Palawan, Philippines.
The Fragile Cardinalfish is often seen in aggregations in lagoons or bays, sheltering among branching corals, sponges, etc. Collections come from the depth range of 2-17 meters, but it may be seen at least as deep as 50 meters.
