Sycon raphanus Schmidt, 1862

This calcareous sponge is oval or globular with a a hairy or hispid surface. The colour is white, grey or yellow.This sponge grows up to 8 cm in lenght.Sycon raphanus lives in caves,among weeds, under stones and vertical cliffs at dephts to 70 m.
