Characters: Colonies are submassive, form columns, or are laminar. The surface is uniformly covered with large rounded verrucae. Corallites are immersed between the verrucae. Colour: Blue or brown, uniform or mottled. Bright blue (which may photograph purple) or green tentacles are sometimes extended during the day. Similar species: Montipora danae, which has smaller, less regular verrucae and smaller corallites.

Die Ähnlichkeit zur Danae finde ich persönlich nicht gegeben, vorausgesetzt man hat eine echte Danae, denn da gibt es einiges an Kuddelmuddel und Verwechslungen 8)

Diese Verrucosa wächst wirklich sehr langsam im Vergleich zu anderen flachwachsenden Montis. Ansonsten sehr robust und sehr schön.

Ich pflege auch solch eine Koralle. Ich finde Sie sieht sehr ähnlich aus wie die danae oder ist Sie sogar. Wenn genügend Licht vorhanden ist und das Wasser Nährstoffarm, zeigen sich die mint farbenen Polypen sehr schön. Die Platzierung ist ca. 15 cm unter der Wasseroberfläche mit einer indirekten mittleren Strömung. Das Wachstum ist langsam ca. 0.5cm 1-2 Monate.
