Caryophyllia is a genus of solitary stony corals in the family Caryophylliidae.

Members of this genus are azooxanthellate (do not contain symbiotic algae).
Caryophyllia (Caryophyllia) alaskensis is a solitary cold-water coral that reproduces both sexually and asexually.

Color: The coral is pale orange, pink, or red

Synonym:
Caryophyllia alaskensis Vaughan, 1941 (changed combination)
