Info

Microlepidotus lethopristis Jordan & Fesler, 1889

Very special thanks for the first photo of Orthopristis lethopristis to the famous Australien ichthyologist Dr. Gerry R. Allen.
Dr. Allen has taken his photo around the Galápagos Islands.

Scalyfin grunt is endemic to the Eastern Pacific and is only known from the Galápagos Islands.

The demersal species is found on soft substrates, possibly to depths of 30 meters, best left in the wild.
