Architectonica perspectiva (Linnaeus, 1758)

Sea snails of the family Architectonicidae are commonly known as sundial snails.

Species of this family eats burrowing sea anemones, zoanthids, corals and sea pens.

Clear Sundial is an unmistakable snail. The shell is flat disc-shape with white, black and brown spirals.The body is striped.This snail has a horn-like operculum. Architectonica perspectiva prefers sandy bottom to depths of 10-120 m.
