Info

Goniistius vestitus (Castelnau, 1879)
Crested morwong

The picture of Goniistius vestitus (was kindly provided by De Jong Marinelife, a well-known wholesaler from the Netherlands.

Cheilodactylus are commercially traded fish for large saltwater aquariums, but care should be taken to ensure that they are appropriately stocked so that any invertebrates introduced are not immediately eaten.
As this fish is one of the rarer species, you should think carefully about purchasing it due to its expected final size of 35 cm.

Two synonyms are known:
Cheilodactylus vestitus (Castelnau, 1879) - unaccepted
Zeodrius vestitus Castelnau, 1879 - unaccepted
