The body is elongate and broad, flattened, and narrows at the posterior end. The dorsum has approximately 14 longitudinal ridges on either side of the midline.There is a marginal yellow-orange band on the notum and the oral veil. Bulbous rhinophores are white-brwon and have longitudinal lamellae.
Sea snails of the Familiy Arminidae generally eat soft corals and sea pens.It is often seen burrowing in sand.
Very similar is Dermatobranchus striatus with orange pigment on its rhinophores.
