Flabellinopsis iodinea (J. G. Cooper, 1863)

Flabellinopsis iodinea have a purple body colour, orange cerata and scarlet coloured rhinophores. If it feels threatened, this species can move away by flexing their body strongly and pushing off from the substrate into the water.In this way the Spanish Shawl can flee.

Feeds on hydroid (Hydrozoa)Eudendrium ramosum.By feeding this hydroids, its feed carotenoid pigments to. These pigments make the colouration. Feeds on compound ascidians.
