Pomadasys taeniatus belongs to the grunt, a genus consisting of about 35 species .It is known as endemic to the southern coast of the Arabian eninsula. Unfortunately, itself as well as the species is described so far very little. Usually in schools, it is not suitable for the aquarium because it grows up to 80cm length .
