Ich pflege diese Art Weichkorallen schon seit mehreren Jahren in einem Becken mit mässiger Abschäumung. Evtl kann es sich auch um eine Paralemnalia handeln.( siehe Hinweis im Lexikon unter Weichkorallen.) Sollte es sich hier um eine Efflatounaria handeln, wäre es schon eine Rarität.
Diese Weichoralle wird bei mir von dem Seeigel Mespilia globulus gefressen.!!!

Eher eine selten eingeführte Art, die nahe verwandt mit Cespitularia oder Xenia auch ähnliche Haltungsansprüche aufweist. Die Kolonie wächst kriechend und bildet oft mehrere cm lange Ausläufer zu benachbarten Steinen. Daher ist die Wuchskontrolle wichtig. Leicht vegetativ zu vermehren.
Von Australien und dem Korallenmeer ist eine durchgefärbt gelbe Farbmorphe bekannt. Die hier gezeigte Art stammt von der Joachim Woschnik Korallenfarm.
