Isopontonia platycheles Bruce, 1982

Isopontonia platycheles is a shrimp in the family Palaemonidae called rock and partner shrimp. Isopontonia platycheles is known in the English-speaking world as "ghost shrimp" = ghost shrimp, which refers to the transparency and colorlessness of this shrimp, which makes it almost invisible.

The ghost shrimp is the only species in its genus. Holotyp from from the Chesterfield Islands, New Caledonia .
