Pelvetiopsis limitata (Setchell) N.L.Gardner, 1910
This perennial brown alga stands between 4-8cm tall and is light tan to olive in color arising from a small discoid holdfast. This Dwarf Brownalga can be found on costal rocks and wave-exposed places.
Similar to Elongate clumps (Silvetia compressa), Bladderwrack (Fucus distichus) and Hairy rockweed (Pelvetiopsis californica).
Is eaten by by limpets and other invertebrate grazers.
