Info

Tryssogobius quinquespinus is a very pretty small goby, so far only known from Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea.

This goby settles protected, muddy reefs in a depth that is still easily accessible for divers.

Imports or keeping experiences of this pretty mini goby are not known to us to date, the same applies to the natural food itemss.

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
