Info

Rabaulichthys species
Cebu, Philippines & possibly Indonesia (uncertain); 10 cm; fairly common
I kept several specimens of 4 - 9 cm long; all from Cebu, but depth range unknown; an
ichthyologist Brian Greene in Hawaiii has collected specimens at Kwajalein, Marshalls and
it looks alike this one, however John Randall pointed out that these may be distinct, and I
sent several to Randall for his examination; a very similar species R.suzukii occurs
southern Japan, but this species has red pelvic fins; would maybe described as a new
species by Randall & Greene
