Gephyreaster swifti (Fisher, 1905)

The aboral side is pink-orange in colour and the oral side is paler. It has five arms up to 21 cm long.

Simliar to the Vermilion Star Mediaster aequalis ( similar in shape but has smoother marginals, vermilion in colour) and Pseudarchaster alascensis (is flatter, smoother and its arms tape).
